Tim Cook is an American business executive who is currently the CEO of Apple Inc. He was born on November 1, 1960, in Mobile, Alabama, and he joined Apple in 1998. Cook served as the Chief Operating Officer of Apple for several years before he was named CEO in August 2011, succeeding Steve Jobs.
