Page Six said on May 22 that the Amazon entrepreneur, 59, and the journalist, 53, had gotten engaged while they were in the south of France to attend the Cannes Film Festival
The rumored engagement, verified by a source to People, occurs during the couple's trip onboard Bezos' new $500 million yacht, Koru. They've been enjoying the star-studded party circuit while spending time on his luxury boat, which features a mermaid that looks like Sanchez on the prow.
Bezos and Sanchez initially burned engagement rumors when the former Good Day LA co-host was sighted onboard the boat wearing what looked to be a huge diamond engagement ring.
The couple's relationship became public in 2019, but they kept quiet about it until his divorce from his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie Scott, was finalized. Since they began dating in 2019, the 59-year-old millionaire and the television journalist have been inseparable. At the time, Sánchez was divorced from Hollywood talent tycoon Patrick Whitesell.
Bezos and Sanchez‘s beautiful love
Sánchez, who explored the world with Bezos during their dating, said in November 2022 that she intends to fly to space, following in the footsteps of the Blue Origin founder.
"He's so happy, he inspires me every day, he makes me a better person every day; he's the most loving human I know," she told the Wall Street Journal in January.
She also praised the billionaire in a heartfelt birthday message in January. "Happy birthday to the man of my dreams, who lights up my world with his laughter and kind heart," she captioned a photo on Instagram.
“You have shown me that no great love is not bravely fought for. Thank you for always being by my side and for being the most loving and supportive partner.” Sanchez added.
Couple's previous marriages
Sánchez and Whitesell, both 58, have two children: Ella, 15, and Evan, 16. She also has a 22-year-old son named Nikko with ex-NFL player Tony Gonzalez.
Scott, 53, who has four children with Bezos, received $38 billion in the divorce deal, with half of wealth going to charity.
With 25 percent of the exes' combined stake in Amazon, she became the world's third-richest woman, while Bezos retained voting authority over her almost 20 million shares.
